Richest Barista Applications Are Now Open

We're thrilled to announce that applications are now open for the highly anticipated "Australia's Richest Barista" competition, set to take place during the prestigious Melbourne International Coffee Expo (MICE) from August 17th to 19th in Melbourne.

This three-day competition is open to baristas from around the world and promises to be an exhilarating showcase of talent and skill. Participants will engage in three rounds of intense competition, including a barista skills round featuring the creation of eight different drinks, a latte art round, and a cup-tasting round to test their discerning palates.

The prize pool for this exciting event is a staggering AUD$40,000, making it one of the most lucrative barista competitions to date. The prize money will be divided among the top three winners, with AUD$25,000 awarded to the first-place winner, AUS$10,000 to the second-place winner, and AUS$5,000 to the third-place winner.

While the "richest barista" title may raise some eyebrows, it's important to note the extraordinary talent and dedication on display. It's a testament to the exceptional standards and innovation of the coffee industry.

A total of 32 competition slots are available, with 15 reserved for MICE exhibitors, five allocated to members of the Australian Specialty Coffee Association (ASCA), and 12 spots open to the broader coffee community, including international baristas with at least three years of proven barista experience.
